At Hurt123, we work exclusively on a contingency fee basis. This means we will not get paid anything unless we successfully resolve your case by way of settlement or jury verdict. Our fees are deducted from your settlement or award. If you don’t get paid, we don’t get paid!
It depends on what caused your injuries. In Florida, if you are injured in an automobile accident, the first $10,000.00 of your medical bills will be paid by your automobile insurance company. Medical bills in excess of $10,000.00 will be paid by your health insurance company and/or the party at fault for the accident.
There is no exact timeframe for when a case will resolve because each case and each individual is unique. Depending on the extent of your injuries some cases can be resolved in a matter of days, while others can take weeks, months or even years. That being said, while we certainly do not want to rush a case simply so it can be settled, we are confident that we can resolve most cases in just a few months.
This is perhaps one of the most common questions we are asked. Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing the true value of your case until we have a better understanding of the extent of your injuries. As we get closer to the end of your medical treatment we will be in a much better position to discuss the true value of your case.
The vast majority of personal injury cases are settled out of court without you ever having to step inside a courtroom. However, sometimes insurance companies are not willing to make a reasonable settlement offer. In this situation some personal injury lawyers simply seek a quick settlement take what they can get and will not go to trial for you. With Attorney Big AL, if an insurance company refuses to do the right thing, then we will take them to court and force them to do the right thing.
